Delaware Flower Famers

Spectrum Farms LLC
2568 Spectrum Farms Road
Felton, DE 19943
Spectrum Farms LLC is a specialty cut flower farm located west of Felton, Delaware that offers locally grown specialty cut flowers retail at farmers markets, direct pick-up from the flower farm, via flower subscriptions, and by custom order floral work for weddings and events. Spectrum Farms was selected as Delaware Today’s 2026 Best of Delaware Downstate Wedding Florist. Spectrum Farms offers wholesale flowers to florists, designers, and markets across Delaware and the surrounding region, expanding access to Delawaregrown flowers. This includes operating a wholesale flower collective that other Delaware located flower farmers are able to sell their blooms.
As the family-owned property once operated as a tree nursery, Chris and Ashley Sylvester decided to go back to their roots and put their 13-acre farmette back to use in plant production by growing a spectrum of flowers and plants. As they continue to grow their own specialty cut flower farm, Chris and Ashley have also felt called to cultivate a community of Delaware located flower farmers and growers. This work began with Delaware Dahlias: Increasing Awareness and Availability of Delaware Grown Dahlias, a project Chris managed to highlight this remarkable flower and its thousands of cultivars while strengthening connections among Delaware’s flower farms. First in Flowers is the next step in building that community of flower farmers here in the first state and to highlight locally grown cut flowers grown here as a product that should be sought after by local and regional consumers.

Backyard Blooms of DE LLC
Newark, DE
Backyard Blooms of DE LLC was started by Sarah Renaud, a Delaware transplant from the Midwest, who started by growing her own flowers for her wedding reception post-COVID era. Sarah pulled it off and was hooked! She has been honing her skills growing florist quality flowers intentionally in her backyard at a sizable scale in the suburbs of Newark. Her flowers are grown with no herbicides, fungicides or pesticides so you can feel safe enjoying them in your home and using them in your designs.
You can find her fresh bouquets and preserved creations every 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday at The Brandywine Farmer’s Market through October in Wilmington, DE and wholesale through Spectrum Farms – Wholesale Flower Collective. Special orders and inquiries are welcome @backyardbloomsde on Instagram or by email backyardblooms302@gmail.com
Derby Mill Farm
2716 Upper King Road Dover, DE 19904
Run by sisters Paula Soghomonian and Vicki Cronis-Nohe, Derby Mill Farm was founded in 2020 when we moved back to the Delmarva region. Once a field at our childhood home just 5 miles south of Dover, DE, it is now a working specialty-cut flower farm. At Derby Mill Farm, we use sustainable and agriculturally-regenerative methods to improve our soil fertility. Through the use of cover crops, compost, biodynamic preparations, and organic material inputs, we are building a better foundation to ensure our flowers live their most robust lives.
Natives and perennials are also a growing part of our efforts to create a healthy ecosystem. We strive to be part of the climate answer, however small our contribution may be. You can find these tucked in bouquets - local flowers you can feel good about. As we are primarily field growers, we do weddings from late May through early November, but have dried flowers available year-round. As the farmers and the florists, we feel every couple should have beautiful flowers for their special day and offer services from DIY to full-service installations. Bouquet delivery and pickup from the farm are also available, but please call ahead first. We also offer wholesale flowers through Spectrum Farms – Wholesale Flower Collective.

GW’s Garden Goods
17127 Minos Conaway Rd Lewes, DE 19958
We are a family owned micro farm in Lewes, Delaware that grows a variety of specialty cut flowers.
Our garden story started at the beginning of our relationship (over a decade already)! Over the years, our garden has grown from vegetables and herbs to cut flowers, and with it, a new purpose began to take root. What started as a backyard hobby has become a meaningful part of our life — a way to reconnect with the outdoors, slow down, and create something with our hands.
GW’s is more than just a fresh cut flower farm. It's a legacy for us to enjoy with the next generation and with our deeply rooted community.
Today, we grow and arrange fresh bouquets using whatever is blooming that week — thoughtful, seasonal stems that reflect the garden’s natural rhythm. Each one is handpicked by us, wrapped with extreme care, and rooted in a love for community, family, and home. It's our homage to the Lewes Community, both old and new.
